The basins and catchments datasets are part of the National Catchment Boundaries dataset which was developed by Australian National University (ANU) using the 9 second Digital Elevation Model and streams from GEODATA 1:250k data produced by Geoscience Australia. It represents the drainage areas from a pre-European landscape.
