The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement. \n\n\n\nThe dataset contains individual nested catchment shapefiles, a merged version of all catchments a geodatabase of those catchment shapefiles,a point shapefile containing the pour points used to delineate the catchments and an excel spreadsheet with areas of catchments and the percentage of each catchment covered by mine footprints for three scenarios (Baseline, CRDP and ACRD). These include nested catchments for the 65 surface water modelling simulation nodes in the Hunter subregion. These data are inputs to the surface water model for the Hunter.\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nThe total upstream catchment for each simulation node was generated in ArcGIS -> Spatial Analyst -> Hydrology -> Watershed tool to create a shapefile of nested catchment polygons. The source inputs were used as pour point and flow direction parameters respectively. Pour points were snapped to the nearest point on a flowline.\n\n## **Dataset Citation** \n\nBioregional Assessment Programme (2016) HUN AWRA-R nested calibration catchments v01. There are two separate programs of bioregional assessments.\r\n\r\nThe Bioregional Assessment Program (2012 - 2017) seeks to better understand the potential impacts of coal seam gas and large coal mining developments on water resources and water-related assets. It is one of a number of actions undertaken by the Australian Government to strengthen the science underpinning decision making on coal seam gas and large coal mining developments.\r\n\r\nThe Geological and Bioregional Assessment Program (2017 - 2021) assessed the potential impacts of shale and tight gas development on water and the environment.
