Coordinates and heights for these\ncontrol points were obtained from modern orthophotography and LiDAR datasets.\nThe Wollongong mosaic was processed and produced in GDA2020, Zone 56 coordinate\nsystem.\n\nThe frames were mosaiced\nusing a semi-automated seamline generation and colourbalancing workflow. Manual\nQA has been completed along every seamline and manual fixes were applied to the\northomosaic where necessary. \n\nAssessment of horizontal\naccuracy for the Wollongong 1955 mosaic found the accuracy within urban areas\nto be +/- 2m at 95% CI. Accuracy may diminish in rural areas on the outskirts\nof the dataset due to lack of common control points, and issues with frame scan\nquality.\n\nCurrent and historic imagery form an important part of the NSW\nFoundation Spatial Data Framework and provide a valuable resource which is\nwidely accessed by government and the broader community on a daily basis. As\nthe completeness of this data base continues, its market demand also increases\nacross a broad range of applications.\n\nSpatial Services aerial imagery was\noriginally captured using a variety of cameras including the Wild RC-5, RC-10\nand Leica RC-30 cameras with a variety of lenses with focal lengths of 88mm,\n153mm and 304mm. Images were captured in monochrome or colour during this\nperiod at a range of scales. Capture scales ranged from 1:5 000 to 1:80 000.\n\nThe Historical Air Photo Enhancement program (HAPE) not only\nallows the capability to search, discover and use source imagery, but also\nprovides the delivery and viewing of enhanced historic rectified imagery\nmosaics.
