Some measure of community recognition of the latter is evident from the fact that environmental issues featured most prominently in community representations on an earlier road proposal between Minnamurra and Bombo; 74% of all submissions involved the Minnamurra River wetland either directly or indirectly(Roads &amp; Traffic Authority, 1989b).
