The study has\nbeen undertaken in accordance with the NSW Government Floodplain Development Manual\n(2005).\n\nA locality plan can be found in <strong>Figure 1.1</strong>. The outline of the study area can be found in <strong>Figure 1.2</strong>.\n\nThe report format follows the study methodology, which involved:\n<ul>\n<li>Community consultation (<strong>Section 2</strong>)</li>\n<li>A review of the Flood Study, including remodelling of the floodplain (<strong>Section 3</strong>)</li>\n<li>An assessment of the current:\n\u00b7 economic impact of flooding (<strong>Section 4</strong>)\n\u00b7 emergency response arrangements (<strong>Section 5</strong>)\n\u00b7 planning and policy framework (<strong>Section 6</strong>)\n\u00b7 Flood Planning Level (<strong>Section 7.12</strong>)\n\u00b7 environmental and social features of the floodplain (<strong>Section 8</strong>)\n\u00b7 Identification of Options (<strong>Section 9</strong>)\n\u00b7 Assessment of Options (<strong>Section 13</strong>)</li>\n</ul>\n\nAn appreciation of the catchment and floodplain was gained by carrying out a review of\navailable information and undertaking two field inspections. The first field inspection was\nundertaken by the study team on the 27 May 2004 and the second inspection was carried out on\nthe 3 March 2005 in the company of Council representatives and a local resident.
