TASVEG comprises 156 mapping units captured at a nominal scale of 1:25,000. TASVEG is continually revised and updated via photographic and satellite image interpretation and is verified in the field where possible. This version (5.0) represents the fifth major release of the TASVEG layer since 2004. From Forest to Fjaeldmark: Descriptions of Tasmania's Vegetation, Edition 2 (Kitchener and Harris 2013) is the technical reference publication for the TASVEG mapping dataset. It describes the classification of mapping units used within TASVEG. The descriptions in each section are updated to align with the current mapping.
