Does not include zoning from the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area (TWWWHA). A core function of a management plan is to establish zoning, in order to guide use and development. The integrity of the zone descriptors from the management plan are retained, with legend classes matching current zoning descriptors from the PWS Reserve Management Zoning Policy. Three types of zoning exist in this layer. Statutory zoning as defined in the management plan, draft zoning for a management plan in development and prescriptive zoning where additions to a reserve post-date the management plan. Attached are the business rules that have been adopted for the depiction of the zoning. Statutory zoning closely matches the zone descriptors in the management plan. Prescriptive and draft zoning adheres to the business rules adopted for the creation of the General Plan Reserves Zones with input from professional staff.
