Detailed geology (solid) - Queensland

The polygons in this dataset are a digital representation of the distribution and extent of geological units within the areas they would appear if the cover rocks were stripped away (eg soil, weathered rocks and some basalts removed). Polygons have a range of attributes including Rock Unit Key (a unique numeric identifier), Rock Unit Name, Map Symbol (an abbreviation used for polygon labelling), Lithological Description, Dominant Rock, Rock Type and Age. These have been extracted from the Department's Geological Properties Database.
