The Southern Brigalow Belt Strategic Offset Investment Corridors comprise a network of hubs and corridors extending across the southern portion of the Brigalow Belt bioregion and the New England bioregion, that were selected as particularly suitable locations for hosting land-based environmental offsets. The selection took into account of a range of biodiversity values of state significance within them, and potential to enhance landscape-scale connectivity between biodiversity hubs. The provision of offset services within these priority areas is by voluntary involvement of landholders.Version 1.2 contains additional spatial data: modelled habitats for NCA-listed threatened species clipped to the extent of woody non-remnant, pre-clearance regional ecosystem designations for areas mapped as woody non-remnant, and inclusion of all Commonwealth mapping of EPBC-listed threatened ecological communities within the footprint of the SOIC.
