The PAES inform Parliament of changes to the proposed allocation of resources since the 2017-18 Budget. The PAES, annual Appropriation Bills (Nos. 3 and 4) and Appropriation (Parliamentary Departments) Bill (No. 2) are tabled in Parliament usually in mid-February each year. The annual Appropriation Bills (Nos. 3 and 4) and Appropriation (Parliamentary Departments) Bill (No. 2) require that the Portfolio Budget Statements and PAES be taken into account when interpreting the appropriated items in the Schedules. Please note that not all portfolios prepare a PAES. Only those entities that are seeking additional funding for through Appropriation Bills (Nos. 3 and 4) are required to produce a PAES. The PAES incorporate measures announced since the 2017-18 Budget, including those announced in the Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook (MYEFO). The data for the 2017-18 PAES has been made available to assist those who wish to analyse the financial information published in the PAES.
