Phytoplankton community composition determined through analysis of pigments using HPLC

Phytoplankton community composition was determined at 6 sites from the ENRICH voyage conducted on RV Investigator (IN2019_V01). To determine composition, analysis of pigments was undertaken using high performance liquid chromatography according to the method of Wright et al. (2010), followed by chemotaxonomic analysis using CHEMTAX (Mackey et al. 1996, Wright et al. 1996). This dataset contains the pigment concentrations (µg L-1) and taxa concentrations (µg L-1 chl a) for each of the 6 sites. Standard deviations for taxa are also shown.
