Based on the regional boundaries set by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ASGS SA4 regions), each regional profile presents an overview of the agriculture, fisheries and forestry sectors in the region and the recent financial performance of the broadacre and, where relevant, dairy and vegetable industries. These reports are being released for the first time online as a series of web pages. About My Region consists of the 56 profiles and a web site providing access. The web site contains a list of regions, organised by state that link to the profiles. The About My Region report series is already available on the ABARES website, however, for the first time the latest updates will be published as a set of web pages. All data used in the update of these profiles have previously been released by ABARES or ABS. The December 2016 issue updates one section of each profile, giving the most recent available data on the number and type of farms by industry classification, and the distribution of farms by estimated value of agricultural operations (EVAO).
