                <gco:CharacterString>This document describes a series of experiments that grow student understanding of the concepts on porosity and permeability as it relates to groundwater. Sediments are used to substitute for sedimentary rocks and water movement through different types of sediment is evaluated. The document is split into two sections, background information for teachers and a 3 part experiment with activity sheet for students.
