At the time of publication, corporations that were registered under the *National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007* were required to report to the Greenhouse and Energy Officer (GEDO). From 2 April 2012, the GEDO was replaced by the Clean Energy Regulator. **Section 24 of the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007** Controlling corporations that are registered under the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007 (the Act) are obliged to report information on greenhouse gas emissions, energy production and energy consumption in relation to their corporate group to the Greenhouse and Energy Data Officer (GEDO). In accordance with section 24 of the Act, the GEDO is publishing an extract of this information for the 2008–09 reporting year. The GEDO must publish, for each corporation whose group had scope 1 and scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions above the 2008–09 threshold of 125 kilotonnes or holds a reporting transfer certificate, the following totals that have been reported by the corporation: - scope 1 greenhouse gas emissions - scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions, and - energy consumption.
