This dataset was supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and are presented here as originally supplied. Metadata was not provided and has been compiled by the Bioregional Assessment Programme based on the known details at the time of acquisition.


A hard copy map for the Sydney Basin faults was sourced from the reference below. The map was scanned, georeferenced and rectified. The scanned image of the input map forms part of the dataset. The bitmap is named SydneyBasinFaults.bmp.

## **Purpose** 

The georeferenced image was used to create a shapefile of the faults by digitising the line features representing the faults in the Sydney Basin.

## **Dataset History** 

A hard copy map for the Sydney Basin faults was sourced from the reference below. The map was scanned, georeferenced and rectified in ArcGIS. The scanned image of the input map forms part of the dataset. The georeferenced image was used to create a shapefile of the important faults by digitising the line features representing the faults in the Sydney Basin (dataset: Sydney Basin faults see lineage). 52 linear features were selected and digisted.
