The data were obtained from the Great Australian Bight in February 1978. Data were obtained from acoustic and trawl surveys of the general fish fauna of the western Great Australian Bight including Trachurus declivis and Thunnus maccoyii. A number of specimens of the Sea Trumpeter (Therapon humeralis) were taken by hand line in East Esperance Bay.
