This dataset was supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and is presented here as originally supplied. Metadata was not provided and has been compiled by the Bioregional Assessment Programme based on the known details at the time of acquisition.


Spatial dataset recording the location of mining exploration and production licences granted under New South Wales mining legislation as of 24 July 2013. The shapefile is created based on the current mining lease registered with New South Wales Department of Trade and Investment and located in Title Administrative System. Mining Exploration licences generally follow graticular boundaries and are applied for and granted as a series of 5' by 5' blocks. Generated from the Titles Administration Relational Database System, a transactional database, updated daily.


This dataset has been provided to the BA Programme for use within the programme only. Third parties should contact the NSW Department of Industry. http://www.industry.nsw.gov.au/
