                <gco:CharacterString>## **Abstract** 

The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.


This dataset contains shapefiles of the Hunter subregion Surface Water Source areas. It the same information as the NSW Office of Water combined geodatabase of regulated rivers and water sharing plan regions dataset (see lineage) but only includes areas that intersect with the Hunter bioregion. Includes both the full and a simplified version of the data modified to facilitate mapping for report maps.

The production of report maps for the Hunter bioregion

## **Dataset History** 

Polygons from source WSA dataset that intersected with the Hunter bioregion boundary were selected and exported to shapefile. This output was also dissolved on the "WATER_SOUR"  and "in_WSP" fields. Additonal fields )"HUN" and "Map_label" were added to the dissolved data to facilitate presentation in report maps.
