This dataset and its metadata statement were supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and are presented here as originally supplied.


This dataset was created by DEPI and provided to the Bureau of Meteorology as a once off extract

NOTE: Mining licences are not included in this dataset.

Volume of Entitlment ML/YR by licence was distributed to WorksID by the Department of Environment and Primary Industries


This dataset has been provided to the BA Programme for use within the programme only. Current data are available from http://www.environment.gov.au/fed/catalog/main/home.page

## **Purpose** 

This data has been used to allocate volume ML/yr to works in in the Victorian Extract of NGIS

## **Dataset History** 

The Victorian Extract of the National Groundwater Information was joined to an Licence extract obtained direct from DEPI 

Volume is in the unit of ML/year per 

The number of works was calculated for each licence and the volume was distributed evenly across works (bores) by Internally by DEPI (sheet1)

Please note this dataset was a 'once off' extract provided by Emma Davidson on the 21/10/2014 in DEPI and was work in  preparation for NGIS

NOTE: Mining licences are not included in this dataset

Redundant fields were removed (any fields that were not populated)

Records were classifed as "Basic Water Right" or "Water Access Right"

    Classify by water use by \[F_TYPE\]

\*    Domestic 'DOM' and Stock 'STOK' = 'Basic Water Right'

\*    All Others = 'Water Access Right'

\*    'EXPR' or 'MON' = N/A
