                <gco:CharacterString>## **Abstract** 

The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement. 


The dataset contains a spatial representation of the Orara-Kangaroo bedrock.

## **Dataset History** 

This polygon shapefile has been created from preliminary datasets provided by the NSW Geological Survey and also QLD geological data. The original shapefilse consisted of multiple polygons that have been separated for example where alluvia overlie this bedrock unit. This boundaries have been dissolved to create a single shapefile that shows the extent of the unit at the surface and in the subsurface.
