                <gco:CharacterString>## **Abstract** 

This dataset and its metadata statement were supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and are presented here as originally supplied.

Surface-groundwater connectivity assessment across thirteeen reporting regions of the Murray-Darling Basin between March 2005 and June 2006. Connectivity mapping was undertaken by Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM) and Bureau Rural Sciences (BRS). CSIRO compiled a whole of basin coverage as part of the Murray-Darling Basin Sustainable Yields project.

## **Dataset History** 

Parameter List: 

Original attribute tables were edited to provide a uniform flux convention to/from river/groundwater for losing and gaining streams. Direction and magnitude of water flux (ML/day/km) is described for river segments in the xxxx attribute.


Processing Steps: 

Methodology for determining direction and magnitude of water flux is detailed in report. Assessment were conducted on 13 of the 18 Reporting Regions for the MDBSY project. This data set is a compilation of the 13 regions.


Tools: 

ArcGIS 9.3 was used to combine the data from thirteen regions into one (whole of basin) coverage.
