National State of the Environment (SoE) reports provide information about environmental and heritage conditions, trends and pressures for the Australian continent, surrounding seas and Australia's external territories. SoE 2016 builds upon the 2011 approach by showing changes over time across the key areas of the environment, including atmosphere, inland waters, land, marine environment, Antarctic environment, biodiversity, heritage, built environment and coasts.
