                <gco:CharacterString>## **Abstract** 

The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.


The aim of this dataset was to be able to map groundwater licences in the Namoi sub-region.


This has been clipped to the Namoi sub-region but not the Namoi PAE.. 


The dataset is an extract of all groundwater licences that fell within the data management acquisition area as provided by BA to NSW Office of Water. The licenses have been aggregated into the following categories: 'mining', 'general', 'industry', 'town water', 'irrigation', 'monitoring and test bore', 'stock and domestic' and 'not specified'.
