                <gco:CharacterString>## **Abstract** 

The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement. 


This shapefile shows the location of exploration (CSG and petroleum) and stratigraphic wells where the entire sequence of the Walloon Coal Measures has been intersected. The shapefile also presents the thickness of the Walloon Coal Measures at these sites.

## **Dataset History** 

The data sources are well completion reports (see Lineage for source datasets) downloaded individually from the Qld QDEX or NSW DGIS systems. In addition, data presented in Wells and O'Brien (1994) were also used.


The location of exploration (CSG and petroleum) and stratigraphic wells for NSW and QLD were intersected with the entire thickness of Walloon Coal Measures.
