This dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from the Gippsland Basin Potentiometric Surfaces - Regional Watertable, Boisdale Aquifer and Latrobe Group Aquifer dataset (GUID: 94af5ab4-d83e-4440-972a-7e0578400095). You can find a link to the parent datasets in the Lineage Field in this metadata statement. The History Field in this metadata statement describes how this dataset was derived.


This dataset includes two sets of data:

- Potentiometric surfaces converted to rasters

- The rasters clipped to the Gippsland Bioregion boundary.


All units are in mAHD.

## **Purpose** 

The purpose of these diagrams are to give the reader an indicative view of the key potentiometric surfaces at the regional scale for the Bioregional Assessment for the years 1980 and 2012. The data originates from preliminary findings of the Conceptualisation and Calibration of the Gippsland Basin Groundwater Model Stage of the Victorian 1771 Water Science Studies.

## **Dataset History** 

The raster versions of the potentiometric surfaces were created using the 'Copy Raster' tool within ESRI ArcCatalogue 10.2. 

These rasters were then clipped to the Gippsland Bioregional Boundary using the 'Extract by Mask (Spatial Analyst)' tool within ArcMap 10.2.


Boisdale refers to the Boisdale aquifer.

Regional refers to the water table across the bioregion.

Upper Latrobe refers to the Latrobe Group aquifer.
