The new bridge connects to the existing road network in Grafton and South Grafton.  Construction of the project started in November 2016, and it was opened to traffic in December 2019.\nDuring the pre-construction phase of the project, predictive noise modelling was carried out to determine the likely road traffic noise levels expected from the project.  The results of the noise modelling for the project were presented in the detailed noise modelling and assessment report (ref.
