The source dataset is the 'Node catchment for Galilee surface water modelling' and is identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement.\n\n\n\nThe processes undertaken to produce this dataset are described in the History field. \n\n\n\nThis dataset represents catchment contributing areas for 11 tributaries included in the surface water modelling in the Galilee subregion.\n\n## **Purpose** \n\nThis data set was created to show the catchment area above and below the 7 proposed mines and the catchment area under each of 11 tributary zones in Galilee surface water modelling.\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nCatchment contributing area for each tributary was identified by merging node catchments (residual) that drains to a tributary using ArcGIS merging tool. This data set was created from the 'Node catchment for Galilee surface water modelling' data set.\n\n## **Dataset Citation** \n\nBioregional Assessment Programme (2016) Galilee tributary catchments. There are two separate programs of bioregional assessments.\r\n\r\nThe Bioregional Assessment Program (2012 - 2017) seeks to better understand the potential impacts of coal seam gas and large coal mining developments on water resources and water-related assets. It is one of a number of actions undertaken by the Australian Government to strengthen the science underpinning decision making on coal seam gas and large coal mining developments.\r\n\r\nThe Geological and Bioregional Assessment Program (2017 - 2021) assessed the potential impacts of shale and tight gas development on water and the environment.
