Bathymetry will deal with all offshore elevation data.\n- Elevation data will include both raw elevation data and digital elevation models (DEM); \n- Spot Heights, points on the earth's surface, of known elevation.\n- Contours, lines which represents an imaginary line on the ground joining points of equal elevation.\n- Horizontal Control Points, points on the ground, the horizontal position of which has been determined by geodetic survey.\n- Digital Elevation Models (DEM) are interpolated representations of a surface. Elevation points are spaced at a regular interval so as to create a grid or lattice. These grids can be directly observed or, more generally, they are computed from more than one of the above mentioned irregular spaced  elevations.\n- Digital Terrain Models (DTM) are bare earth DEM's representing the terrain They are interpolated using a combination of elevation information and could also be constrained using break lines, such are cliffs, drainage, coast etc.\n- Digital Surface Models (DSM) are also DEM's, but they include non-surface objects like trees, buildings etc. So, a DSM = DTM + all non surface objects.\n- Triangulated Irregular Network (TIN). A vector data structure that partitions geographic space into contiguous, nonoverlapping triangles. The vertices of each triangle are sample data points\nwith x, y, and z values. These sample points are connected by lines to form Delaunay triangles.\nTINs are used to store and display elevation models.\n- Hydrologically enforced Digital Elevation Models (HDEM) represents DEM with drainage enforcement.\nThe quality of a DEM is a measure of how accurate elevation is at each pixel (absolute accuracy) and how accurately the morphology is represented (relative accuracy). Several factors affect the quality of DEM-derived products: terrain roughness, sampling density (elevation data collection method), grid resolution or pixel size, interpolation algorithm, vertical resolution and terrain analysis algorithm.", "num_resources": 2, "num_tags": 6, "organization": {"id": "91f054ec-d0c3-4d42-a89a-5daa2c7a6818", "name": "geoscience-australia-data", "title": "Geoscience Australia Data", "type": "organization", "description": "Harvester for Geoscience Australia Data", "image_url": "", "created": "2025-06-23T12:29:08.024111", "is_organization": true, "approval_status": "approved", "state": "active"}, "original_harvest_source": {"site_url": "https://ecat.ga.gov.au", "href": "https://ecat.ga.gov.au/geonetwork/srv/eng/csw/dataset/geography-physiography-elevation", "title": "Geoscience Australia"}, "owner_org": "91f054ec-d0c3-4d42-a89a-5daa2c7a6818", "private": false, "promotion_level": "0", "spatial": "{\"type\": \"Polygon\", \"coordinates\": [[[114.0, -42.0], [154.0, -42.0], [154.0, -11.0], [114.0, -11.0], [114.0, -42.0]]]}", "spatial_coverage": "{\"type\": \"Polygon\", \"coordinates\": [[[114.0, -42.0], [154.0, -42.0], [154.0, -11.0], [114.0, -11.0], [114.0, -42.0]]]}", "state": "active", "temporal_coverage_from": "2018-04-22 08:16:19", "title": "Geography - Physiography - Elevation", "type": "dataset", "unpublished": false, "url": null, "version": null, "extras": [{"key": "harvest_object_id", "value": "ab15c97a-c918-47da-a941-0953a1ea407f"}, {"key": "harvest_source_id", "value": "00080910-39e7-408f-882c-e6e1eb6baadb"}, {"key": "harvest_source_title", "value": "Geoscience Australia"}], "resources": [{"cache_last_updated": null, "cache_url": null, "created": "2025-10-17T02:59:26.470955", "datastore_active": false, "datastore_contains_all_records_of_source_file": false, "description": "Digital Elevation Data web page", "format": "HTML", "hash": "", "id": "9f98bb6e-bad5-4fa4-9bcf-bc742eeaac89", "last_modified": null, "metadata_modified": "2025-10-17T02:59:26.459785", "mimetype": null, "mimetype_inner": null, "name": "Related Product", "package_id": "75533808-32a3-4fcb-8f12-d225c696753b", "position": 0, "resource_locator_function": "information", "resource_locator_protocol": "WWW:LINK-1.0-http--link", "resource_type": null, "size": null, "state": "active", "url": "http://www.ga.gov.au/scientific-topics/geographic-information/topographic-maps-data/digital-elevation-data", "url_type": null, "zip_extract": false}, {"cache_last_updated": null, "cache_url": null, "created": "2025-10-17T02:59:26.470958", "datastore_active": false, "datastore_contains_all_records_of_source_file": false, "description": "", "format": "HTML", "hash": "", "id": "b740001f-d149-4780-8ca4-b0032e280a74", "last_modified": null, "metadata_modified": "2025-10-17T02:59:26.459927", "mimetype": null, "mimetype_inner": null, "name": "Unnamed resource", "package_id": "75533808-32a3-4fcb-8f12-d225c696753b", "position": 1, "resource_locator_function": "", "resource_locator_protocol": "", "resource_type": null, "size": null, "state": "active", "url": "http://www.abs.gov.au/ausstats/abs@.nsf/Latestproducts/1297.0Main%20Features32008?opendocument&tabname=Summary&prodno=1297.0&issue=2008&num=&view=", "url_type": null, "zip_extract": false}], "tags": [{"display_name": "AU", "id": "37644b1a-68a1-4582-87e2-d50a63477d22", "name": "AU", "state": "active", "vocabulary_id": null}, {"display_name": "Database", "id": "4d7a3d86-16e2-40f9-b0fa-a12ab7e30bba", "name": "Database", "state": "active", "vocabulary_id": null}, {"display_name": "Earth Sciences", "id": "40d58e59-cdeb-4021-9e5a-aae60edebdf5", "name": "Earth Sciences", "state": "active", "vocabulary_id": null}, {"display_name": "Published_External", "id": "5178775c-8044-4b7f-881f-5428a4e2d925", "name": "Published_External", "state": "active", "vocabulary_id": null}, {"display_name": "hydrology", "id": "787cb735-e3ba-4062-b19e-59bf2a611bdf", "name": "hydrology", "state": "active", "vocabulary_id": null}, {"display_name": "land", "id": "7c8187df-2de6-4cb5-bfcd-86e0f923c457", "name": "land", "state": "active", "vocabulary_id": null}], "groups": [], "relationships_as_subject": [], "relationships_as_object": []}}
