This dataset was derived from multiple datasets  provided by the Bureau of Meteorology. You can find a link to the parent datasets in the Lineage Field in this metadata statement. The History Field in this metadata statement describes how this dataset was derived.\n\n\n\nThis dataset includes a shapefile containing the mean annual runoff, using the 'Budyko-framework' implementation of Choudhury, for NSW.\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nThe mean annual runoff dataset was created as per the Donohue et al (2010) paper. The data represent the runoff expected from the steady-state 'Budyko curve' long-term mean annual water-energy limit approach using BAWAP precipitation and the Penman potential ET described in the source dataset.\n\n\n\nChoudhury BJ (1999) Evaluation of an empirical equation for annual evaporation using field observations and results from a biophysical model. There are two separate programs of bioregional assessments.\r\n\r\nThe Bioregional Assessment Program (2012 - 2017) seeks to better understand the potential impacts of coal seam gas and large coal mining developments on water resources and water-related assets. It is one of a number of actions undertaken by the Australian Government to strengthen the science underpinning decision making on coal seam gas and large coal mining developments.\r\n\r\nThe Geological and Bioregional Assessment Program (2017 - 2021) assessed the potential impacts of shale and tight gas development on water and the environment. The Program assessed three priority geological basins: the Cooper Basin in Queensland and South Australia, the Isa Superbasin in Queensland and the Beetaloo Sub-basin in the Northern Territory (referred to as GBA regions", "image_url": "2015-10-30-051742.096388Bioregional-assessments-logo-800.jpg", "created": "2015-10-30T05:17:42.164347", "is_organization": true, "approval_status": "approved", "state": "active"}, "original_harvest_source": {"site_url": "https://data.gov.au/data/dataset/", "href": "https://data.gov.au/data/dataset/b20d185f-3d22-4b5d-be87-89ce13505ce7", "title": "data.gov.au"}, "owner_org": "69f37b4c-bdf0-4c85-bd56-82fa6d6b087a", "private": false, "spatial_coverage": "POLYGON ((0 0, 0 0, 0 0, 0 0))", "state": "active", "temporal_coverage_from": "2016-04-08 00:00:00", "title": "BA ALL mean annual flow for NSW - Choudhury implementation of Budyko runoff v01", "type": "dataset", "unpublished": false, "url": null, "version": null, "extras": [{"key": "contact_info", "value": "false"}, {"key": "data_state", "value": "active"}, {"key": "field_of_research", "value": "[]"}, {"key": "jurisdiction", "value": "New South Wales"}, {"key": "update_freq", "value": "never"}], "resources": [{"Description": "CSIRO Download Page", "cache_last_updated": null, "cache_url": null, "created": "2019-03-13T21:23:49.061813", "datastore_active": false, "datastore_contains_all_records_of_source_file": false, "description": "Data File", "format": "ZIP", "hash": "", "id": "0e0432cc-8f65-441f-bdff-b5a10c718f23", "last_modified": "2017-10-06T00:00:00", "metadata_modified": "2022-04-13T05:32:44.601712", "mimetype": null, "mimetype_inner": null, "name": "BA ALL mean annual flow for NSW - Choudhury implementation of Budyko runoff v01", "package_id": "59d9fd9d-c224-4fe1-a1b9-c332495159d5", "position": 0, "resource_type": null, "size": 275440355, "state": "active", "url": "https://data.gov.au/data/dataset/59d9fd9d-c224-4fe1-a1b9-c332495159d5/resource/0e0432cc-8f65-441f-bdff-b5a10c718f23/download/b20d185f-3d22-4b5d-be87-89ce13505ce7.zip", "url_type": "upload", "zip_extract": false}], "tags": [{"display_name": "Gloucester subregion", "id": "32341543-27d4-497d-9ac3-7099d3931857", "name": "Gloucester subregion", "state": "active", "vocabulary_id": null}, {"display_name": "Hunter subregion", "id": "efe98e45-ca7c-4841-b305-771c28982ab5", "name": "Hunter subregion", "state": "active", "vocabulary_id": null}, {"display_name": "New South Wales", "id": "e767d4c4-dcfe-4939-81a4-20cafa72d96e", "name": "New South Wales", "state": "active", "vocabulary_id": null}, {"display_name": "Sydney Basin bioregion", "id": "b20fe744-9b5b-45e6-ae0f-a52e81e13138", "name": "Sydney Basin bioregion", "state": "active", "vocabulary_id": null}, {"display_name": "climatologyMeteorologyAtmosphere", "id": "11def81f-1309-4baf-9740-1e8e9fe40045", "name": "climatologyMeteorologyAtmosphere", "state": "active", "vocabulary_id": null}, {"display_name": "inlandWaters", "id": "2931df3f-cb9f-4005-932f-bda4624e55b5", "name": "inlandWaters", "state": "active", "vocabulary_id": null}], "groups": [], "relationships_as_subject": [], "relationships_as_object": []}}
