The CMAs combined the roles of the former, River Management Boards and CaLP Boards, and community-based advisory groups such as salinity plan implementation groups and water quality working groups. The 2014 correction was on the West Gippsland and East Gippsland CMAs border around the Gippsland Lakes. The 2021 amendment was a realignment between the Melbourne Water boundary and surrounding CaLP regions. These boundaries now align with the waterway management district boundaries for Melbourne Water and surrounding CaLP regions. This followed an amalgamation of the Port Phillip and Westernport CMA with Melbourne Water as a new authority administering the Port Phillip and Westernport CaLP region in December 2021. \nIt is
