The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.\n\n\n\nThis dataset contains Galilee Basin Subregion, hydrogeological formation extents in polygon shapefile format. These extents are derived for use in groundwater modelling of the Galilee Basin subregion.\n\n## **Purpose** \n\nThese extents are derived for use in groundwater modelling of the Galilee Basin subregion.\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nThe lower hydrogeological formation extents; Moolyember, Clematis, Rewan, Bandanna, Joe Joe, were converted into shapefile format and copied directly from the source dataset - GAL Aquifer Formation Extents v02 (GUID: be0a97f2-ddfd-4d3a-9d6d-522bf34b559f).\n\n\n\nThe upper formation extents were derived from the dataset - Three-dimensional visualisation of the Great Artesian Basin - GABWRA (GUID: 98e49f7c-28a6-4ad1-83c7-fdf606954fbc). The source dataset contains boundary data for the GAB formations; Cenozoic, Hooray, Hutton, Injune Creek, Rolling Downs and Winton. The original format of these boundaries is a GOCAD model input. These files were converted into excel format (point data) with latitude and longitude information.
