There are over 100 sites established between Merri Marine Sanctuary in the west to Cape Howe in the east . The methods use standardised Edgar-Barrett underwater visual census methods to quantify: abundance and size of mobile fishes and cephalopods; abundance and size of megafaunal invertebrates; and points-cover of seaweeds and seagrasses.
