The hillshade was created in ArcMap using the 'hillshade' tool with an azmith of 315, an altitude of 45 and a vertical exaggeration of 5. The hillshade covers the full extent of Christmas Island. The hillshade image can be viewed as a greyscale image, or underneath the DEM (if semi-transparent).
